Most of what gets written about Central & Eastern Europe arrives in English a week late, filed from somewhere else. A paragraph at the end of a Brussels piece. A wire copy on a Tuesday. We do not think the region is a footnote, and the people who fund pipelines, run elections, sell weapons, and build companies here do not either.
So we built a weekly briefing for the people who already pay attention to CEE, and a quieter platform for the people who should. We cover the whole region. EU members and the eastern neighbourhood alike.
Most of what we publish is free. Premium funds the reporting.

Tomáš is an award-winning journalist and photographer at Denník N, with five years of experience covering economics, business, and technology in Central Europe. At how we cee it., he leads the reporting and sets the standards: accuracy, attribution, and getting on a plane when it matters.

Daniel runs the business side of how we cee it. He came to the project after leading marketing and growth for startups across the region, and now focuses on the things that keep a small newsroom alive: partnerships, premium, the platform, and the people we want to bring on next.
